Service Description

Prerequisite: Youth Drawing 1 and 2 Classes are held on an ongoing basis on most Saturdays, 12PM-2PM. Start at any time! When you click "Book Now" it will take you to a calendar. Just choose the date you think you'd like to start the course. At checkout you can choose to buy 8 sessions, or 24 sessions at a discount. Continue building on the skills developed in Youth Drawing 1! Designed for youth who are serious about art, Youth Drawing 3 brings together everything learned in Levels 1 and 2 into more advanced, complete illustration work. Level 3 focuses on combining all previously learned skills from the Layering Principle of Drawing into the creation of a fully rendered piece of concept art. Students design a grounded figure within a constructed environment, with a strong emphasis on composition, depth, and visual storytelling. The final result is a polished, portfolio-ready illustration that demonstrates real artistic development. All materials are included. Taught by Zen Rankin, a youth art instructor with over 15 years of experience. We offer an ongoing, flexible schedule: • Youth Drawing runs year-round with no fixed start or end dates. Classes are held most Saturdays, and students can begin at any time. There's no need to wait for a new session! • Drop into any class that fits your schedule, and take a week off whenever needed. • Students complete a weekly self-directed assignment supported by about 1 hour of video instruction, then bring their completed work to class for in-person feedback and coaching. What students will gain: • Ability to combine drawing fundamentals into a complete illustration • Stronger understanding of composition, perspective, and visual storytelling • Advanced skills in drawing figures within constructed environments • Improved control of form, proportion, and spatial depth • A finished, portfolio-ready concept art illustration • A repeatable process for developing full-scene artwork • Increased confidence creating independent, self-directed artwork • A supportive space to grow their skills whether they just like drawing for fun, or are dreaming of a future career in art
